All parents should have received an email this morning to start the registration process. It uses an online data management program called FinalForms. All forms must be completed to get teacher assignments by our Meet the Teacher date of July 27th. If you did not receive an email from FinalForms for your RETURNING SDPC student, please DO NOT register your student as a new student in FinalForms. Please Contact Carissa Fowler at carissafowler@pickens.k12.sc.us so she can assist you with gaining access to update your child's information. All SDPC students are required to pay a $25 Tech It Home fee to be issued a Chromebook. This fee can be paid on My School Bucks (www.myschoolbucks.com). This fee will be listed in the School Store as PES Tech It Home Fee 23/24. If you need any help with My School Bucks, please contact Christin Garrett at 864-397-2300 or email her at christingarrett@pickens.k12.sc.us .
We are looking for sponsors in our community who would be willing to donate items such as drinks or snacks or maybe even sponsor 1 meal for the staff during the school year. If you own a business, lead a church, or know of someone who does that may be willing to be one of our business partners, please complete this form or pass it to someone who might. The last Lifeskill for this year is Responsibility. These students were chosen by their teachers as those that display responsibility for themselves.
As we plan for Camp iRock to get started we wanted you to know we have planned a Meet the Teacher for students. Drop in on Thursday, June 1st 5:30-7:00.
Mrs. Sickels asks that all Library books be turned in by Friday, May 19th. Please look around and see if you have any at home. Invoices for lost books are going home this week. Thank you for your help in this!
Tomorrow will be the last day for state testing. Fourth Grade will finish with Math this week. We appreciate the cooperation between parents, students and teachers during this time.

The schedule for seniors May 12th:
-8:00 AM- Students will travel to the feeder elementary school of their choice for a cap and gown parade. The parades will start at 8 AM, so students must arrive earlier to participate. The parades will take less than 10 minutes.
-8:45 AM- Students will travel to the feeder middle school program of their choice and complete a process similar to the elementary school. Punctuality will be stressed.
-9:30 AM- reconvene at PHS and begin on-site Class Day festivities.
We are so lucky to have Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. Rogers here with us next year! Mrs. Richardson has served as assistant principal at both McKissick Elementary and East End Elementary. While at McKissick, she was named the 2016 Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators. "I am so excited to join the Pickens Elementary family! I look forward to meeting the students, staff, and parents in the days ahead." ~Anita Richardson Mrs. Rogers has spent the last four years as an Instructor at the Adult Learning Center. Prior to that she was a Special Education teacher at Pickens Elementary, TL Hannah High School and alternative placements. "I am thrilled to be back at Pickens Elementary as an Assistant Principal! I love this school, the staff, students and community. I look forward to being part of such a strong team, and serving the community that I love. In a couple of weeks, students in grades Third, Fourth and Fifth will be taking the SC Ready State Assessments. Please put these dates on your calendar and refrain from making any appointments or vacations on these dates. Your help in making sure your child has a positive outlook on these days is appreciated.
