This year we are starting a new character education program called "Tools for Citizenship and Life." Each week we will focus on one lifelong guideline or lifeskill. This weeks focus was on Active Listening. Active Listening defined as to listen with the intention of understanding what the speaker intends to communicate. The following students were recognized as having the ability to look at the person talking, pay attention even through distractions, stop to listen, and the ability to comment or ask questions on what is being said.

January 2023 Lunch Menu
Wishing you a cheerful holiday with lots of fun and happiness!
ATTENTION! New dismissal route starting Jan. 3rd. In order to relieve congestion on 178, the SDPC worked on a plan with the City of Pickens and the Pickens Police Department to come up with an alternative route.
New entry point will be the north side of S. Lewis Street. An officer will be in place to direct traffic at Monroe and S. Lewis. Any cars that attempt to approach from another direction will be asked to turn around and proceed to the new route. An email went out to parents with these instructions. Please share with anyone that may pick up your child. Study the map and be prepared to follow on Jan. 3rd. Thank you!
This is always a lot of fun! Come join the scavenger hunt!
