April is National School Library Month and April 4th is School Librarian Day. Mrs. Brady, our teacher librarian, and Mrs. Stone, our library assistant, love serving GMS students, faculty, and staff. Our library offers a place for students to go for books, reading, learning, research, socialization, games, puzzles, coloring posters, building materials, and more! This is Mrs. Brady's 1st year at Gettys and 8th year as a teacher librarian. She was a 5th grade teacher for more than 20 years before getting her Masters of Library and Information Science and moving to her all time favorite classroom... the library. This is Mrs. Stone's 2nd year as our library assistant and has also been a computer lab teacher here at GMS. We look forward to celebrating our school library, Mrs. Brady, and Mrs. Stone this month!
