Our Orchestra students had the opportunity to participate in Solo & Ensemble this weekend at Easley High School. The students prepare a solo or duet and perform for a judge to receive feedback. Students can earn one of the following ratings: Superior with Distinction (perfect score); Superior; Excellent; Good; Fair; or Poor. Students that earn a Superior with Distinction or a Superior rating earn a certificate and a medal. Students that earn an Excellent get a certificate. Any other ratings only receive feedback from the judges.
GMS Orchestra had three soloists and one duet that performed at Solo & Ensemble this weekend. EHS had four soloists and one duet. All of the Easley High and GMS Orchestra students all earned Superior with Distinction or Superior ratings! Two of our GMS students earned Superior with Distinction, which means a perfect score! I am so proud of all of our Easley High and Gettys Middle School students!
