Kindergarten students learned about the first Thanksgiving during their Making History field trip!
Kindergarten enjoyed a fun day learning all about life in the past and the first Thanksgiving! We made candles, wrote with feathers and ink, made and tasted butter, and got to explore many toys and artifacts from long ago.

This morning we honored nearly 40 students as Distinguished Dolphins for the month of October. These students were recognized as showing one of the 24 character strengths from our Positivity Project. We are so proud of these young people and can’t wait to see how they continue to act as leaders at DES!
Miss Younce’s class is studying how climate affects how people live. The students showed how climate can affect your home by creating plans for houses in different climates and then building them!
