Today we celebrate National Special Education Day! On December 2, 1975, President Ford signed into law the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. This law ensures that children with disabilities receive special education and related services. We'd like to take a moment to express our appreciation and gratitude to our incredible Special Education department for the uniquely challenging roles they play in providing an excellent educational experience for our students. Interact Club collected canned food for Clemson Community Care in November. Students also created food bags for local families to assist during the holidays.

We have a lot of exciting events this week in Athletics. Both Boys and Girls Cross Country are headed to State on Friday, Competitive Cheer is headed to State Qualifiers today, Football is in Round 2 of the playoffs, and Keyla Zhao came back from the Girls Tennis Singles with All State honors. Congratulations and Go Lions!

Round 1 playoff game between Daniel and Southside will happen this Friday, November 4th at Singleton Field. Gates will open at 6:30pm with kickoff at 7:30pm. Tickets are online only and can be purchased here: https://danielathletics.com/event-tickets Tickets are $10 each and price is set by the SCHSL for playoff games. After purchasing your ticket, it will be sent to the email address used when purchasing.
