This is the image for the news article titled 2020 Transportation SurveyAs we prepare for a safe opening of our school year, it is very important for us to have an accurate count of how many students will be riding our buses.

Whether your child will be a car rider or bus rider this year, please take a moment to fill out our online Transportation Survey to inform us of your plans. Please complete the survey by midnight on August 13!

As you decide whether your child will ride a car or bus, please consider the following information about schedules and safety measures for the upcoming year.

• This week, the South Carolina Department of Education announced that masks would be mandatory for all bus riders and drivers.
• South Carolina has instituted a seating capacity limit on buses that will require adjustments to our routes. Our arrival and dismissal times will need to adjust as well.
• Due to capacity restrictions, students will be required to ride on their assigned buses; riding a bus to another student’s home will not be allowed.

The arrival times for the coming year have been adjusted to accommodate more bus routes, and students will be dismissed over a period of time each afternoon to ensure that social distancing can be maintained. The adjusted arrival and dismissal times are:

• Dismissal Window – 1:45 – 2:30 p.m.
Elementary Schools:
• Start Time – 8:00 a.m.
• Dismissal Window – 1:45 – 2:30 p.m.
